With the state of the economy and current political environment, Trust members, leaders, and employers are trying to understand how policies, technologies, and practices could impact job security and fair treatment on the job.

During this event, you’ll hear about legislative and political updates that could affect Trust members, get insight into the evolving world of health care in a post pandemic world, understand mental health resources available to Kaiser Permanente members, and come away with tangible steps to support a more resilient, engaged workforce.

About our speakers

John Mohlis

A Bricklayer & Stone Mason by trade, John was a member of the Bricklayer’s Union for 44 years and held many leadership positions within Bricklayer’s Local 1, Columbia Pacific BT Council, and Oregon State BT Council. John started Mohlis Consulting LLC in 2016.

Tori Geter

Tori serves as the wellness program coordinator for UA Local 290, a large multi-craft union of highly skilled piping professionals in Southwest Washington, Oregon, and Northern California.

Mary Giswold MD, FACS

Dr. Mary Giswold serves as Chief Operating Officer at Northwest Permanente, Kaiser Permanente’s medical group. She is also an experienced surgeon who practices to this day.

Wendy Watson

Wendy serves as Chief Operating Officer for Kaiser Foundation Health Plan and Hospitals of the Northwest. She is passionate about the health care experience and improving population health.

Emmie Hiersche

As a Senior Workforce Health Consultant, Emmie helps employers develop and implement workforce health strategies that keep employees engaged and healthy. She is passionate about wellbeing, and is an avid runner.
